Senior Scripture Union

Senior Scripture Union meets on a weekly basis in the comfort of the sixth form centre. On Tuesday afternoons we sit down with a cuppa and a few snacks and put our feet up after a hard day in the classroom. It is a time to relax and a time to reflect on the lives we live. Our programme may involve a time of singing praise songs followed by a bible study or alternative spiritual challenge from God’s word. From time to time we also welcome guests who come to challenge us on our walk with God. For those who cannot make it to our Tuesday meetings or who seek to engage further with God, a prayer meeting takes place every Thursday lunchtime.

The highlight of every year is our weekend away when we flock to the north coast with our bibles, outdoor clothing and plenty of food. Our weekend retreat is a time to immerse ourselves in God’s word and an opportunity to build accountable relationships with each other.
