Junior Hockey

Mrs Grundie and Miss Scott coach the Under 14 hockey teams and practice takes place twice weekly on Monday’s and Friday’s. An ‘A’ and ‘B’ team have regular Saturday morning fixtures and the ‘A’ team also compete in the Junior Schools’ Cup competition.

Miss Brittain and Miss Kerr coach the Under 13 hockey players. An ‘A’ and ‘B’ team play weekly Saturday morning fixtures. Practice is on a Monday and is open to all interested Form 2 pupils.

Miss Brittain, Miss Kerr, Mrs Brown and Miss Scott coach the Under 12 hockey club. A large number of players regularly attend practice on a Wednesday, to improve individual skills, tactics and to develop team play. Towards the end of the season match play is provided against other schools and a team is selected to take part in the annual Form 1 Tournament.

Even if you cannot commit to Saturday matches, but would like to develop your hockey skills you are most welcome to come along and join in at practice during the week.
