Strathearn pupils worked together to gather vital donations for a local charity earlier this month.
Girls from every class collected items for The Welcome Organisation in Belfast. Strathearn’s School Council undertook a great deal of planning under the stewardship of Stella and Maddie, the Chair and Vice Chair, and Libby, who is taking part in the SistersIN leadership programme. School Council reps worked in their own classes to encourage pupils. Hundreds of cans, boxes of cereal and hygiene products were brought into school, where they were sorted so that they would be ready to be collected by a representative from The Welcome Organisation. These staples will go directly to some of those in need of support in our community.
