Volleyball was a new sport on the extra-curricular programme this year and has proven very popular with all age groups. In March we entered 2 teams in the NI Schools’ U16 Volleyball tournament and this month we entered 3 x Form 3 teams, 2 x Form 2 teams and 3 x Form 1 teams in their respective tournaments. This is a super representation for a newly established activity. Well done to all the teams who did us proud playing against more experienced teams from schools throughout the province and a big thank you to the Giant Leap Sports coaches who coached the girls in school and at a local club to prepare them for these competitions.
Special congratulations to the Form 1 ‘B’ Team of Katie Allen, Jessica Brown, Lily Templeton & Cecily Park who finished as overall Year 8 Champions beating Dalriada in the semi final and Tandragee JHS in the final.
