To everyone in the Strathearn Community – Pupils/Parents/Staff/Governors,
No-one can have been left unaffected by the images and news reports coming out of Ukraine, and I know many of you will already have supported one of the organisations gathering clothing and food parcels for the growing number of refugees fleeing the region.
As a school community, we are most struck by the impact the conflict is having on children and young people. For this reason we have decided to focus our efforts here in School to raise money to support the work of UNICEF. Some information on how UNICEF is supporting children in Ukraine can be found on the following link.
If you would like to support us in raising funds for UNICEF’s appeal here in School, you can contribute in the following ways:
Pupils: There will be bucket collections for donations through all of next week (Monday 7-Friday 11 March). Watch out for these and do please plan to contribute what you can.
Parents/Staff/Governors: If you would like to contribute to this appeal, we have set up a JustGiving page and you can access this through the following link:
If you would prefer, you are welcome to contact the Finance Department here in School, where staff would be happy to take donations over the phone.
We understand that you may have made contributions and/or donations elsewhere, so please do not feel under any pressure to take part in this appeal. However, as a School, we feel it is important to have a central focus which allows people to respond to this crisis should they wish to do so.
With many thanks for your support,
N Connery
