Lower Sixth Politics pupil Madalaine Wilson has been successfully elected as the East Belfast Youth Parliament MP for 2022-2024. The UK Youth Parliament gives a voice to young people between the ages of 11-18 on issues they face. Madalaine campaigned for change in areas such as Sex and Relationship Education, Votes at 16 and the role of young people in the Covid-19 recovery. She will now have the opportunity to represent all young people in East Belfast and will travel to the House of Commons to make sure their voice is heard. We congratulate Madalaine on this fantastic achievement and wish her every success in carrying out her duties.
