On Friday 6th of March three pupils from Lower Sixth had the opportunity to attend a special event organised by the Women's Caucus at Stormont. The theme of the day was 'Each for Equal'. We discussed the representation of women, health and well-being and rights, equality and inclusion with DUP and Sinn Fein MLAs from the Women's Caucus. We were able to take part in a mock adjournment debate on the motion of, "An equal world is an enabled world.” We sat in the Chamber and contributed towards the discussion with other schools from around Northern Ireland on topics such as the #metoo movement, mental health awareness and period poverty.
