Strathearn’s Librarian, Dr Haire, has taken up a place on the CILIP Carnegie Kate Greenaway Medal judges’ panel for 2020.
She is currently reading all of the books that have been nominated for each of the awards – no mean feat, given that more than 150 books have been put forward for consideration. These medals are, according to CILIP ‘the UK's oldest and most prestigious children's book awards, recognising outstanding writing and illustration in books for children and young people’.
You can find out more about the awards at https://www.carnegiegreenaway.org.uk/.
We wish Dr Haire every success as she reads her way through thousands of pages of children’s books!
