Ulster Schools' Cross Country Champions!

Ulster Schools' Cross Country Champions!

On Wednesday 13th February many Strathearn pupils were to be found in Lisnagarvey HC supporting at the 1st XI semi-final but our Cross Country teams were flying the Strathearn flag high at Mallusk and were crowned Ulster Schools' Cross Country Champions for the 3rd successive year - well done girls what an achievement!

Our Mini girls finished in 5th place overall, the Inters in 4th, the Seniors, who were missing 2 runners as they were on the 1st XI, were 3rd and our Juniors were 2nd.  All these teams contributed to our overall points and led to us being Overall Champions for the third year in a row.  The Senior and Junior teams have now qualified for the Irish Schools' Championships on 9th March in Clongowes Wood, Co Kildare.  Amelia Kane has also qualified as an individual as she finished in bronze medal position in the Intermediate race.  Special mention also to Mabelle Wilcox and Emmy Thornton who finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the Junior race.

All results are listed below and photos can be viewed in the galleries.
