Strathearn School pupils in first, second and third form have raised an amazing £2515 by taking part in ReadOn in aid of charity Cancer Fund for Children.
Pupils set themselves reading challenges and then gathered sponsorship from their friends and families.
Sarah Clements from the Cancer Fund for Children said, ‘ReadOn is a perfect example of children helping other children through something as wonderful as reading.’ She added, ‘It is great to have the valuable support of Strathearn School again this year. Funds raised through ReadOn will help Cancer Fund for Children to provide practical, emotional and financial support to families going through treatment, as well as free therapeutic short breaks to those affected by the illness.’
Some of the girls involved in raising this fabulous amount of money met Andy from the charity, who came to Strathearn to accept their donation. Thanks to all those who supported the girls in their fundraising efforts.
