Sixth form politics students and representatives of the School Council got the chance to hear from Member of Parliament for East Belfast, Gavin Robinson, today, as he visited the school. Mr Robinson shared a little of his background with the group, and explained some of what goes on at Westminster. Mr Robinson fielded questions on feminism, the Irish Language Act, stereotypes in politics and youth engagement in politics. He answered pupils’ questions thoughtfully and gave them a great insight into the real life workings of a political representative.
