Third form student Rosie Elwood was the winner of last year's Strathearn carol composing competition, and her prize was to have her carol performed at the school Carol Service. This year, however, Song of the Angels, a lovely song in two-part harmony, for which she wrote both the words and the music, is being sung to several thousand members of the Northern Ireland public. Jonathan Rea, of New Irish Arts, selected Rosie's carol to be performed at the Waterfront Hall by the New Irish Choir and Orchestra at the Ireland in Christmas Praise events on two evenings in December. This is a fantastic achievement for Rosie and we send her many congratulations on this significant success.
