Well done to the Strathearn athletes who competed at the Ulster Schools' Multi Event CHampionships on the 15th September at Antrim Forum. The girls had to battle it out over 5 different events in the warm Septemebr sunshine - Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot and 800m.
For some it was there first Milti-event competition and for others one of many but all the girls did us proud and pushed themselves as hard as possible even in the toughest events.
In the Minor competition Eve McKibbin finished 9th and Amelia Hopkins 10th. In the Junior competiton Harriet Platt finished 4th, Murphy Miller was 7th and Aimee Stitt 9th and in the Intermediate competition Molly Longstaff took home the silver medal and Beth Crosbie was placed 4th.
Molly, Beth and Harriet have all qualified for the Irish Schools' Multi-Event Championships next month. Good Luck!!
