Pupils from Form 2 & 3 travelled to Craigavon Courthouse to take part in the Magistrates Court Trial.

On Monday 9th February 2026, pupils from Form 2 and 3 travelled to Craigavon Courthouse to take part in the Magistrates Court Trial.  Competing against other schools, they took on the roles of lawyers, witnesses, legal advisor, usher and magistrates.  They presented a case in front of real life barristers and judges and did this with aplomb, poise and care.  Holleigh Quigley used evidence in a clever manner, Olivia Tanney performed a great cross-examination and Etta Cobb stood up robustly when she was cross-examined.  The whole team did very well.  Congratulations to Campbell College who won this year’s competition and our thanks to the judges, barrister, court staff and prison staff who gave up their time to let us have a great day.
