Last Friday morning, Amy Major was at the Grand Final of the BBC’s 500 Words competition. After a very early start – she had to get up at 4.30am – Amy made her way to the Tower of London, where she met all the other finalists and some very special guests, including the Duchess of Cornwall, David Walliams and Niall Horan, who had all gathered together to celebrate storytelling at a special edition of the Chris Evans Breakfast Show. As Amy had come from the furthest away, the production team invited her to be interviewed by Chris Evans himself, live on BBC Radio 2. Amy’s achievement in getting to the final is fantastic, and though she didn’t place in the top three, we are very proud of her success. If you haven’t read it yet, ‘In the moonlight’ is available on the BBC’s website.
