At the Strathearn Leavers’ Ceremony on Thursday 8 September 2016, Mr Manning congratulated the pupils on the excellent results achieved at both GCSE and A-level. He commended the staff and pupils for their expertise and commitment and was delighted to report that 14.4% of grades being awarded were at A*, and over half of the grades awarded were at A* or A. Special congratulations were expressed to the 30% of the year group who achieved 3 grade As or better, and to the eight pupils who achieved 4 grade As or better.
The leavers are again heading to a very wide range of destinations, with 31% intending to remain in Northern Ireland. Well done to the three students who have been successful in securing places at Cambridge University; Sophie Martin and Rosalind Skillen to read Modern and Medieval Languages and Anna Warden to read History.
Best wishes to all our pupils who are moving on this year to the next stage of their lives.
