Strathearn Leavers’ Ceremony 2015
At the Strathearn Leavers’ Ceremony on Thursday 3 September 2015, Mr Manning congratulated the pupils on the excellent results achieved at both GCSE and A-level. He commended the staff and pupils for their expertise and commitment, explaining that this resulted in a record 18.2% of grades being awarded at A*, and over half of the grades being awarded at A* or A. Special congratulations were expressed to the 30% of the year group who achieved 3 grade As or better, and to the seven pupils who achieved 4 grade As or better.
The leavers are heading to a wide range of destinations, with a greater proportion (over 50%) going outside Northern Ireland than in previous years. 29% of the year group, however, intend to remain in Northern Ireland.
